Father Son project

Hi guys

I have a school project coming up and I am looking to design a Father Son project, something like a mini bike that they can build together and will help to pass on practical skills and knowledge.

I was wondering if you had any ideas about whether there's a gap in the market for other types of thing other than mini bikes and choppers maybe Go-Ped kits?

Also if you have any experiences of these kits before any advice on what to include or certain key features or things to avoid.

how about a simple go kart? mini bike are small but can be complicated.

or "black widow" ( http://www.spidercarts.com/blackwidow-go-kart-plans.html ) are relatively simple, or Edge has some slightly more advanced like the "fun kart" ( http://www.edge.au.com/Categories/The_Fun_Kart_III )
