hi,
I built a tricycle out of two fat tire bikes.
I wanted it to be electric powered with working pedals.
I tried a 36V front DD hub motor, but it is too high geared to start
the bike from a standstill, it just keeps cutting out when I push on the throttle.
I was thinking a wheelchair motor/gearing may work if I attached it to one rear wheel. As the slow speed of a wheelchair would work as it has plenty of torque.
The bike would only have to go 5-6 mph, but would have combined weight of nearly 500lbs to haul as the bike is a two seater, side by side.
I would like to use 36v motor, as I bought a 36 LifoPO4 30ah battery.
Any insight into this project would be appreciated!
