i am interested in building an electric go kart, but i'm kinda lost.

i need it to be cheap, $500 for batteries, controller, and motor.

i also want it to do donuts/drifts/burnouts easily.

top speed, 30+.

so far this is what i have in mind:

forklift motor from scrapyard or ebay.

golf cart controller from ebay, or maybe from golf course.

my questions are:

is any forklift motor good enough? or do i need one with a certain amount of amps or volts?

is a golf cart controller going to be programmed to make start off slowly and not do donuts? could i change it?

if anyone can answer my questions that would be great, thanks!

don't you think getting a whole golf kart would be too expensive(suppose if you used some of the other parts, and you got a good deal)? anyway, never mind about this thread, the electric go kart i have in mind is just too expensive, but soooooo awesome i'm having trouble not thinking about it, maybe i will consider it when i get a job :D
