I am finishing my second army mule build and this one will be electric. I just got the controller and the system running.
I was wondering if there is a forward and reverse safety switch I could add to keep the driver from violently flying forward if the reverse switch is accidentally bumped? I am currently using a 3 position toggle switch that was supplied by Kelly Controls.
The motor is a manta II and the speed controller is from Kelly with reverse. The system is 24V.

Depends on a lot of things I suppose.

Any reason against a covered toggle switch?

A pull switch or rotary switch may work too.

You could also set up a button in series with reverse so the button has to be held in order to reverse.
