DIY cheap fiberglass deck repair....

Hey guys...
I live in a town home complex.. the landlords are cheap... they dont care about the houses and more or less the people inside them...What ever...

I have a good leak happening in the roof deck, that overhangs the car port... Its not really my deal to go fix it, but like I said they are cheap.... They also wont care if I do something about it either.

So I need to come up with some Idea to fix this crack , about a foot long on a seam( ill have to get some pics tomorrow).
Taking a look on the net hasn't been fruitful, so what kind of quick and dirty patch job can I do with out getting into too much of glassing and resin ect...

I had figure Id just use some silicone or epoxy and glue it all shut... but It had occurred id need something on top, a patch of sorts... Duct tape isn't all that waterproof... Unless there is a tape that is... that would be the ticket right there...
Im not a hack...and would like to do this sorta properly, but Im also not caring much.. so the leaking onto the house isnt a worry, I just dont want an ice rink right out my front door when the real cold come my way...

you can rivet a silicone sealed aluminium plate on and call it good for now.
BUT that's not much less of a mess than stirring up a cup of resin IMHO.
and chances are it doesn't hold half as long as a fiberglass patch up.
especially on severe temperature differences
(also it's unlikley cheaper really)
You can get small size fiberglass and resin at the car repair shop for sure.

I even saw presoaked mats that harden in the sun,
one bag one mat..
sand the spot, open the bag, put on the patch use a roller to massage it , done!

hardly more work than duck tape really, way more expensive though

you want this good for now, removable for a later proper repair?
thin aluminium sheet in a nice silicone seal, but no rivets

I didnt know they made that flexseal stuff in white.... Thats kinda cool....
Ill have to look out for that stuff... Im sure at the walmart theyll have that stuff...

The aluminum patch also looks like it'll be also an idea... maybe a doubled effort with the spray.

I went and ordered a roll of the flexseal tape.... also not a product that I knew exsisted...(yes I own a tv.. and have seen a few of the commercials...., just didnt know of the tape or other colours...)
I reckon thatll be the fix I need..
