Question.

I have a 6 passenger cart I’m putting a 440 Duromax in. The engine is modified, cam, carb etc. I intend to mount one or possibly two 7” 12 volt fans in the engine bay to eliminate at least part of the heat from the engine. I am insulating that part of the body and under the seat as well.

I am debating whether to keep the sheet metal pieces on the head or remove them. The Billet flywheel does have a fan. But I think the 12 volt fans may push better air.

Any thoughts?

Keep the mechanical fan and cooling intact! It will always work. Electric fans do poop the bed sometimes. Use them to remove the heat from the engine compartment if anything. But they won’t be necessary. 12 years of selling, servicing and kustomizing EZ-GO golf karts taught me that.

Good enough. The fans along with ample insulation are mainly to get the heat out of the body. I’ll keep the Tin on. Thanks.
