HI Everyone,

I am new to this site. I have a predator 212 engine on a mini bike. I cleaned the carb and the jets, as well as I could, but if I turn the choke off the engine stalls. The engine runs as long as I do not let up completely on the throttle.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Well no one really saw your inquiry because you posted in the Introductions forum.

Sounds like a too-lean problem. You might need to richen your air-to-fuel mixture. These engines were designed to run extremely lean from the factory because of EPA regulations, reducing smog etc. They need choke to start and restart, even when warm. :(

I don't know if your carb is adjustable. Some are not.

The other issue might be a vacuum leak between the carb and the engine; a leaky gasket letting too much air into the cylinder. Check for that and/or loose carb screws or nuts.
