I have successfully converted a Carter Bros Mini-Talon (same as the Ace Mini) to electric. It is really a pretty easy conversion and not terribly expensive.
I know parts are no longer available and the friction drive is crap which is why I converted it. Pretty much everything can be bought off Amazon. There is a little bit of grinding and depending on how you want to approach it, maybe some welding, but there are workarounds if that is not an option.
The conversion results in a kart that is a bit faster than the original and has gobs of torque. Great for up to maybe 8 or 9 years old.
I am just getting a pulse here to see if anyone is interested in the details.
