View attachment 155713Hi DIY Go Karts - I'm new to this forum and go-karts. I have just bought a used Bocart Honda GX270 9hp Kart - Its a Danish brand that seems to be out of business and I can't find any help/parts in the UK. Anyone have a manual for one? or any experience of them? or recommendation for off-road go kart spares. It only runs on full choke, and I cant get the jet out. Brakes are poor but I don't know what pads to order or how to buy replacement brake and throttle cables. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks Scoobyboots : )

Hi Scooby! Ruh roh!

Very interesting and cool kart. 😎 I think it qualifies as a kart and reminds me of a Odyssey FL250. I posted your pic inline for easier viewing..... maybe someone else will know it

Our poor old forum has been glitchy! When you hit "Post reply" and it says you have an error, just ignore it, clear the pop-up window and refresh. Your original post will be there.

We would love to learn more about your Bocart so please, if you like, upload all the photos you can of yours so we can have a look at it. You can upload your own photos to the site either with the paperclip "attach files" or the little picture pictogram 🖼️.

We'd love to see it.

The Odyssey FL250 is an ancient go kart or ATV made by Honda. It came with seatbelts and a net of sorts behind the driver's head to prevent whiplash I think.

Hi Scooby! Ruh roh!
Ruh roh was Astro from the jetsons. Same voice actor though.

Scooby. Post pics of your cart and what you have questions with. This way we can properly assess your problems.
Most kart parts are pretty generic and cross fit.

Running on choke indicates it wants less air. Most likely a dirty carb. They are easy enough to clean but you have to fully take them apart.

Looks like a fun kart. Let's get it running.

Thank you - pics to follow - I tried a new Chinese carb (same problem)! Have renewed oil/fuel/filters/spark plug/fuel tube/breather hose - so now very confused.

Wonderful kart. Wings West sounds like a restaurant.🍗 Technically speaking, you won’t need a manual for the kart unless the parts are specific and proprietary to the machine. Otherwise the main concern is the Honda engine which is easy as pie because that is a known engine.

Now we want closeup photos of the engine; left, right, front, back. Could be the engine itself and not the carburetors you have tried.

Show us the brake caliper and rotor (or drum)
Show us the brake and throttle cables

Thank you - I’ll get some good pics and upload them of the engine and brakes etc.
