Never had it to the track. Took it a few times and did not pass tech. To old school and needed updating and work. Engine is dyno at 442 HP 383 with a built TH350 with 4.88 gears. My dad has a Grand National that runs low 11's. We run pretty much neck to neck with him beating me most all the time. His car is more consistant though. I say my car is 12's car. It's scarry fast really. But you are driving it. It's no cake walk. You will notice different tires and exhaust in the pics. I started to go pro street. It's on the back burner right now. Ran out of money to do it right. Never really got it ready to go race. Just cruz around a piss everybody off. LOL

The other Nova is a just a driver. it has a 300hp 350/350. posi with 3.76 gears. It has the CCP front A-arm conversion and disk brakes. 2" dropped spindles and 2" lowered in the rear. I put some gauges in it at well. I rebuilt most the front end. added a sway bar. This old Nova drives a little better now.

there definatley cool, theres a couple Gn's at the local track, the turbo 6ers. they run pretty hard, one lifts the front pretty good runs high 8's in the 1000ft, probably high
10's in the full 1/4

My buddy had one similar to yours that we spent many nights terrorising the street racing scene here in Phoenix with back in the 70's/early 80's. They're good cars.

Thanks Friend. Ya my family has always hade these old chevy II's. Racers love them for they are so light. Dad always called them free horse power.

Dad built me a 64 nova in my late teens. It had a 400hp 331 SBC with a 5:13 posi with a tricked out 2 speed auto. He did not want me going fast so he put the 5.13 gear in. The car would only do 50mph max. But it was a killer stop light racer. I would smoke the tires out of the hole. Feather the gas pedel and then stomp it. After that it would hook up go like bat out of hell for about 1/8 mile if that.

Dad was smart. I think back on it now. That 5:13 posi maybe saved my life. He figured if I crashed it I would be going about 50 max. But it got there quick. The car was not fast. it was quick and quick only. Perfect for street brawling that when on in the 80's. I could only amagine how crazy it would of been if I could actually get it to hook up right.

Amagine what would happen nowadays if people could see the street racing seen in the 70's and 80's? In my state Portland Oregon it was called 82nd Ave. Then came the mini trucks. remember how big those were in the 80's? Remember when it was cool to have a jacked up in the rear ride? LOL

Thats cool. Even though Im a Dodge guy...
Though, not a fan of the color on the driver... maybe the pictures make it look funky.

Id like to get a smaller Dodge/Plymouth "muscle" car and drop a larger engine in it. Set it up so that I could whoop some people here and there, nothing real serious, just fun.

that is a pretty nice car but i am a bit more drawn towards the late 60's early 70's cars and preferably mopar but i would settle for less if the price is right.

Beautiful Novas, Bighead! Obviously, the later 1960's models were more popular, but I do appreciate the character that yours have! It makes them more unique.
