Batman Lives in Brampton Ontario!!!

Very cool. I had to whip over to the Home Depot in Brampton on lunch today. There was a crowd in the parking lot, so I went wide. Then- I looked in my mirror and gave myself whiplash.

I only got to speak to the builder of this homebrew Batmobile for about 2 minutes before he had to go. Infortunately, that stupid Bat-Beacon-thingy was illuminated on the horizon, and he was in a hurry. What I did find out- He built the whole thing himself. The frame was a 1980's Chevy Caprice. It's got a built Chevy 350v8, with Nitrous Oxide. It also has a propane exhaust flamethrower, and lotsa other goodies. It is for sale, for about what he's go into it, which is $35,000.000 CDN.

The only thing that really disappointed me was that the canopy slid manually. Something like this, he needs to have a button on a keychain remote!!!! Either way, I enjoyed seeing this up close and personal!

It had legit Ontario license plates, and he drove it in and out... My wife told asked me to pick up a lottery ticket on my way home. I said I would, AS LONG AS, if we win, I'm buying The Batmobile... I'm not kidding. I would.

I have absolutely no practical use for this; other than the fact that it would be really, really cool to drive it around. The only thing cooler would be an actual, from the original movie studio's blue print's, copy of the Tumbler (you know, the drawings the special effects team used to build it). Heck, in this "Blue Sky" dream world, why not a matched pair? You know, one of each. 'Cause, you know, this is my wish list!!!

i tend to see that thing a lot in the summer. last time i heard the guy live in Shelburne(which is about 20km north of me). he has also made it into the local paper a few times.

This might sound nutty, but I think I would actually prefer it. Dunno. Mad Max's Interceptor was not only very cool, but non-existent in North America, thus multiplying it's cool-factor exponentially.

EDIT- Those nifty side-pipes are missing, too...
