Bar stool project

Hi been on here a while first post, hope this is not a stupid question, any help will be highly appreciated,

So my plans are to build an electric motorised barstool, I have been looking at forklift motors as I will need a lot of torque as where I am everything is uphill but I’m thinking it will be a bit excessive?, any other motors at a decent price anybody recommends ?

Look for mobility wheel chair or scooter motors. They have the torque for some uphill and moving people around. Usually they are direct drive hub/wheel motors so no real gear reduction as far as I'm aware. They are used on radio controlled homemade lawn mowers as well.

IMO a 48V 1,000W MY-1020 motor/controller (~$100.00) should be plenty powerful enough
...I've used 'em on lots of karts
