Hey everyone, I recently purchased a go kart off craigslist (no issues thankfully). It appears to be a single seat Carter Bros. With a 10hp Intek Pro 305 with a Comet 40 series.

I am fairly mechanically inclined (ASE Certified Chevrolet Tech 4 years). I am curious as to what sorts of things you guys do to these motors to give it a little more response. I already have upgraded sprockets. Any suggestions ?

Another thing, my jackshaft is offset to the motor, and the chain jumped a couple times doing donuts :wai: Most jackshaft setups I have seen have the shaft directly underneath the motor, I just don't know why mine is offset.

I will try to get pics up later to show the setup, but if anyone familar with an offset shaft could explain to me if this is an efficent set up or not ?

Thanks !
