An info dump on the well-known go kart frame and/or kit sold by Azusa. The basic frame is just $375.00 at this time.

The main controversy or strangeness of it all is that the frame is so short [48"] in length and coming from the long history of Azusa and adult karting and mini biking, that is a bit odd. Go karts are cramped and small by nature but the Azusa seems really small, but I admit I have never seen an adult or someone of large stature on one of these frames as they are supplied from the factory.

Here's a review video and the source of the metallic blue lengthened Azusa kart many of you have seen:

An Azusa build-up:

A very interesting modification extending the location of the pedals out front, adding nerf bars and twin engines:

Love the common "hot dog" mufflers [spark arrestors] in use on the last kart. Those can be modified by drilling holes in the center baffle but they are not very restrictive anyway. Since they are threaded, they can be removed in a jiffy.

Gokartsusa sells the Azusa kart as their "Road Rocket"

I'm not trying to help Gokartsusa sell karts, I just think it is interesting. I'd buy the frame or kit direct from Azusa or MFG Supply, etc.

Its a cool little kart, and have also heard that everyone lengthens them in the end as they are super short

The real game changer, the eureka moment I think for me is seeing the heavily modified one with two engines. The lengthening was accomplished at the front with an extended “front porch” I think they call it.

Seems way way more practical to do it that way and then you have a proper front “bumper” too as many karts do. Azusa should sell a front porch kit as an option. I wonder if their kart frame is short for reasons to do with shipping. Back in the old days there was no such thing as free shipping and more and more weight was prohibitive.

Where can I find these wheels?
