The date on that fixit thread is Nov '25. It has worked flawlessly since. Don't be sceered weld it.

I tried to figger a way to make it less perminent. Maybe pin it, key it, lock tite, anything.
in the end there was only one way. lt was junk anyway, nothing to lose. I'm curious to see just how long it lasts.
I thought about making a double D washer and welding it to the bell. Essentually doubling the thrust surface area. (Thicker) But that cuts the threads by that amount.
