Whats going on fellas my name is kris. Picked this thing up a few weeks ago for $160. Has a little 3.5 briggs on it, home made frame and old skool brakes.Im new to the Karts so theres propbably losts of questions that Im going to ask. Speaking of questions I have a couple already.

1.Carb adjustment? where is it at cause sounds like its idling high and the lever for the throttle doesnt seem to work when I put it on WOT or just open it slightly. Also plug is getteng some oil on it.
2. Brakes? What can I use/ cheap but works.
3. Ive seen people use water pipes as a strait exhaust- good or bad idea?

Someone can correct me if I am wrong but on that style of engine if you are getting oil on the spark plug would mean you are getting some blow by on the piston rings. Does it smoke when running?

welcome to the site! keep posting pics! I haven't seen a flapper brake kart around town in a long time, I'd personally like to see some more pics of all the foot / brake connections! thanks!

welcome.
good buy

2. Brakes? What can I use/ cheap but works.

what brakes do you want?
scrub:simple, but kill the tyres. v. cheap(it has these already)
band: will stop you ok.$30+
mechanical disc: better, but can lock up. $40+
hydraulic disc: the best. $60+ at the cheapest

depends what max speed the kart goes and what stopping power and your budget
