I bought a kart a while ago and it came with a LCT cmxx 208cc. I'm looking to do some significant mods to the motor (cam, pushrods, ect.) Wondering if anyone knows if predator parts are compatible with other Honda clones such as LCT? Thanks!

Hi there speedy!

You don't by chance grind your own cams do you?

No, no clue how and I probly don't have the tooling. If it's simple it wouldn't hurt to try tho. I was just going to buy a predator cam but wasn't sure if it would fit.

I'm pretty sure your not the guy they were making fun of... It's all good... Don't worry about it...

Off hand I haven't heard of this company... But there has been a bunch of 208cc's out there lately.
I can suggest you check the specs and compare with the Bore/stroke of similar 208 motors...

You can always check this out and start there for the basics...

Howabout some pics of what you got..

I read somewhere on here a while back of a guy who had the Northern Tool 208CC clone "made" by Ironton, and he said aftermarket parts made for the 212CC Predator fit perfect. I have had both engines side by side and externally they are darn near carbon copies of each other.

The bore x stroke of a predator 212 is 70mm x 55mm the LCT 208cc is 70mm x 54mm. This makes me believe that I would be able to put a predator head on the LCT because I have 1mm more clearance than the predator. Any thoughts?

What if the piston was at deck height on both at TDC and had a shorter jug. The difference would be at the bottom of the stroke.

1mm is .039
That's a lot when talking high-performance.

I wouldn't get a predator cam. If you do, get a hemi cam. Hemi Predator's use the same camshafts as Honda gx200's and clones. The non-Hemi Predators use a different cam. I'm just guessing it would use a clone cam (gx200, clone, Hemi Predator).

But CALL ARC or DYNOCAMS!!!! Ask for tech support, not sales.

They will tell you for sure, I'm just guessing here. Never looked into 208cc engines.

The head won't be a problem. You could put any Predator, Honda, Clone, ... head on any of these blocks.

You might even be able to use a predator crank and make your 208 a 212. I dunno? Got to take it apart and look and measure and google and use other forums too.

I'm guessing many parts from a Predator would fit, but cannot say for sure.

Thanks! I'll give arc a call and see what they know.

From what I understand, the difference in cams is in the bearing journals.personally I would t try to mix and match parts unless I had a lot of time and experience.
