No way you tell the guy. anyone that dumb deserves it.
I once knew a guy who knew a guy that strapped his motorcycle down in the truck correctly, But the extra part of the tie down slipped between the bed and the cab, on the freeway. Then managed to get wrapped around the driveshaft. As the story goes it pretty much ripped the bed off before the strap broke.
Hey that's just how the story was told to me. but since then I never leave the excess strap to fly in the wind.
