745cc (VT750 ACE) Engine

i am wondering if its possible if i can use my 2001 Honda Shadow Ace 750 engine in custom homemade bike/ go kart?
is this is even possible? could i use it for dirt bike kinda homemde bike? drift kart? custom mini bobber bike?
the engine is almost brand new i thinmk the miles is around 3k the bike is same perfect everything hardly used sat in garage ran a few times

iits runnin as i type this sounds great all in all perfect motorcycle

my dilemma is i have never ridden a bike before other tan bicycle which i used to do BMX with a 2010 Oddyssey Ross AM bike.

i want to do a custom bike to learn how to handlw the power of the bike and not crash so basically a bike to learn on and then maybe later to modify for a fun toy to mud or mess around in with a diffeerent motorcycle engine of course as this would be re installed back to my bike

would it have enough power for a drift kart? too much?

all in all...im overwhelmingly lost

All of those are Crazy ideas, especially with your level of experience.
50HP! Most of what we do is between 5 and 10 HP and people are doing 40 MPH.

my experience level with all this is about moderate/intermeditte however i do all projects with my father whos skill level in all things would be a Expert/Pro as he has been doing such things crafstman for 20+ years and works concstruction daily alongside with me so i can get anything done just looking for small facts and insights to the questions to keep from pestering him with small questions and i am venturing out to do my own projects and asking for help when needed and this is another one of those projects
being as such he will join in building as soon as i mention this idea and take over it with his own design/method and try to claim it at is lol so im making sure this is MY BIKE/CART PROJECT
also everytool imagineable is accessible with ease

Go watch some videos of go karts with huge engines like that. It's completely doable, but it gets to the point where it's not fun and just really scary IMO. I am planning on building a kart this year with a 2 stroke dirt bike engine, 80-125 cc, and I am sure 125cc would be bordering on too much(for my uses anyway ), and they are at 25-30 horsepower.

I was just going on your Comments^.
A really fast go kart or mini bike can be sketchy enough, let alone adding a 750cc motorcycle engine! to learn on.
But heck yeah go for it

That engine doesn't have all that much horsepower. I read about 36hp. Around 40 ft lbs torque. All at relativly low rpm. It would probably be a very tractable machine.

But I believe it's a shaft drive, liquid cooled engine. Might not be all that much fun making it work.

And gee, it would be a shame to hack up a perfectly good rice burner.

^^^^^ its not a rice burner considering its in the 2 wheeled class of motor vehicles and its in the class of motorcycle not street bike but yes it is a very nice bike sounds great runs great however ive been thinking of removing the baffles on it to make it louder
ive always been a fan of loud deep exhaust that barks and snaps at every chance given

Rice burner, I guess it depends on who you ask. After some research I found some consider it derogatory. So that's all I have to say about that.

I will say this though don't ask a Harley guy what he's thinks of Japanese bikes, especially v twins.

Honestly you should just fix the bike... Make it a project... Sell it....use that to fund a project you want to build with the right donor/bought parts.
It's a shaft drive... Just about as a pain as a vert shaft twin... Too difficult to use effectively...

^^^^ oh the bike is in perfect condition basically brand new lol not a scratch on it new everything has 3k on it garaged and stored properly most of its life 16yrs since its a 01 Honda Shadow 750 Ace chain drive<----- favorite part about it lol and yeah im planning on taking it out today to fire it up and hop on and just go i have a extra fenders for it so if i do scratch it ill be fine ill post pics in a few andmaybe a video of it running

still any ideas then on a versatile off/on road mini bike/drift cart? as in a good frame design (looks) and a proper engine(gas)

there is a 212cc predator engine for sale on fb here in town for 300 its a black mini chopper just needs brake line finished hookupand engine mounted ( comes with everything need he just doesnt want to do it and needs the money ) is that reasonable price for said item?

As far as the mini chopper goes, if it's not a POS, it may be worth it. Take a look at the individual parts. I usually research their value on eBay or find out the cost new and cut it in half. A starting point.

It's pretty difficult to judge the value of something site unseen. Pics. Is the frame scabbed together?

I've slapped a VT500 engine on something that resembles a Spiderbox (if you're drunk enough) and the thing was pretty fun. The Shadows have always been known to have plenty of power for their size. Only thing is the 750s do have some weight behind them like any MC engine would. Your only downside is the shaft drive is a utter bleep to deal with. If you wanna go simple I'd try finding a Suzuki GT750 (750cc 3cyl 2 stoke water cooled engine. massive torque curve. Also called a Suzuki 750 Waterbuffalo) or a GS750 engine. 2 more cylinders to deal with but it's a step closer to having less hassle.
