IF everything is the same quality, look at some of the
STILL running mammoth 100 year old gas and diesel 4 strokes. Although i still do agree with you that simple is always the best route.

The beare 6 stroke design actually seems simpler than a traditional 4-stroke in some ways. The piston-ported "valvetrain" or whatever you may call it actually contributes to power production instead of taking from it.
It's really just a new form of 4-cycle engine. Main problem I see possible troubles with port placement for multi-cylinder engines.
I heard of this engine some time ago. Check out sixstroke.com, it's pretty cool. Anybody wanna convert a SOHC robin-subaru kart engine?

6 stroke wasn't made to be simple, it was made to reduce efficiency loss to heat. Any car engine of any design is gonna have excessive amounts of complex computer equipment thrown on it anyways.
