Sears 8hp rotospader engine mount plates can possibly be used to swap any standard 5hp Briggs kart to a bigger 8hp Briggs engine. Flathead bolts go through the rotospader plate into the 5hp karts engine mount slides. Then flathead bolts up through the rotospader plate that match the 8hp engine mount pattern. This setup should allow you to keep the slides on the original 5hp mount for proper chain tension. No grinding the 5hp engine mount out or welding to it. Picture of the rotospader I got the conversion mount from. Is it even spaced correct to move the 8hp engine over for the 30 series?? 97B50445-20A4-46E5-975F-9766358DCACD.jpeg871B7AEF-CB7B-4CF9-8FA9-AE81108D4A63.jpeg104BB190-1EDE-4C70-91C6-ECD1AB16A020.jpeg

Too much work to find crap like that for parts.

It's easier, faster, and more reliable to modify an existing plate, or remove it to weld down the correct one for a given engine about to be used.

Some flathead bolts and any iron 5hp mount and you can just make this super easy. Keeps the 5hp slides and bolts on an 8hp engine. I have ground out a 5hp mount for an 8hp and can assure you this is a better way. Doesn’t destroy the mount you can go back to the 5hp by just unbolting the plate.

I can assure you no one goes bigger to go smaller
