5 wire ignition key switch

i have studied a "closed" post about the ignition switch wiring and i can't reconcile in my mind how this can be used for a 5 wire switch. I have a 5 wire switch with the following wires:
red
green
red/yellow
black
black/white

can somebody coach me through wiring up some other type of switch?
possibly a 3 wire/push button type setup?

elec is not my strong point.

BTW, i have an SLGK-150

Hellion...Thanks for having me! lol and yes, nothing like diving right in!
Chancer, u have given me plenty to study. Let me see if I've got this right. On a 3 position switch, we have "off" ""Acc/run" and "start". In the start position , it has to power 2 connections and when the switch springs back to "run" it cuts power to one of the wires. With the switch disconnected, I can jump 2 wire and it will crank. There must be a 3rd wire that is needed to start it. Question is , which ones? I think I can eliminate the wires connecting to the lights and horns so that should narrow it down right?

Reason for switch failure....it was full of rain water. I tried to dry it out with carb cleaner and added some wd40 for lube. Think this switch will work after it dries out?
