I have a 44 series TC and my question is if I buy a 1” fixed face will it fit on my clutch that came with a 3/4” fixed face I think they are all compatible. The only parts that specify shaft size are the fixed face parts of the driver unit in my opinion there is no comparison between the 40 series and the 44 series the 44 is highly tunable with the 40 series you have to drop a lot off weight and install stiff springs to get your engagement rpm up both off those mods cause you to lose a lot of rotational force. If you are running a hot big block you need all the rotational force you can find. That does two things it stops the belts from slipping and it gives more top end. Heavy clutch weights grab the belt hard and drive it further up the clutch resulting in a higher gear ratio. All of the benefits are easier to achieve with the 44 series and as any true run what you brung racer understands if you want to beat the fast boys and girls you need to figure out how to make the best performance kits,parts perform better.
