Quit it you guys, just funding stop!!!

There's just no way on God's green earth that a 6.5 hp engine on a minibike is gonna haul your fat @zz around for very long.

Just stop!

Yesterday I went and looked at a clean new looking Baja Warrior.
I was going to take it in the shorts on a trade, but it would have been worth it to me. It was going to be for the Wife's b-day.

The woman said she only rode it about 5 times.
It looked like it just came out of the box.

I stood beside it and pulled the rip cord. It started right away, and was going to leave without me.

I quickly hopped on it, and tried to give it a ride. It took about 40 lbs of torque to twist the throttle. When I did, the thing was all jerky, and everything under me was crunching. It wasn't going to go more than 5mph.

I had the guy remove the clutch cover.
Both chains were dry as a bone, and kinked up.
The clutch was roached, and the engine was racing. I seriously doubt these chains had ever seen a drop of oil.

I asked the guy for a stubby phillips, so I could adjust the idle down a bit. I looked at the idle screw, and even though they are plastic, this thing was roached as well.

There were no brakes, they were adjusted all the way in, and there was nothing left.
The seat was also a bit cockeyed. I originally thought it was just the pic.

After talking to the guy, I found that he wasn't the original owner. A very bad assumption on my part, I'll admit.
I asked if the guy he bought it from wasn't a bit heavy set.
He said the guy was huge and was wayyy over 300 pounds.

Welp, that explained everything.

I had no cash on me as I expected the trade to go well. (I might have made him a measly offer.)
It obviously didn't, and I drove the 75 miles back home. :censored:

Been there done that................

Drove 2 hours for a 2-stroke engine that ran....... It was rusted and locked up on the inside but looked great on the outside.

I really guess this issue calls back to my childhood, and the first time I ever rode a mini bike.
There was a bunch of us kids, maybe 6 or eight of us, when our friend Paul's Dad pulled up, and whipped a mini bike out of his trunk.

It was a pretty straight up mini bike.
Engine, seat, wheels. No frills, brand new and shiny.

Paul's Dad started it, and of course Paul got to go around the block with it first.

This was a rather well to do part of Mpls, and the blocks weren't your standard city block. These were huge. Like a mile and a half or two around.

We each got a turn on the mini bike. It was so cool, I'll never forget it.

Then Paul's Dad took a turn.

Paul's Dad was HUGE!!! I don't know how much he weighed, all I remember was he was a big, fat man.

It took Mr Johnson a long time to go around the block. Much longer than any of us kids.
The wait seemed like forever, and it almost was.

When Paul's Dad showed back up, the mini bike didn't work any more.
:(

Its not so much the raw fat that kills them its more due to the gyrations of the MOOBS that over loads a standard minibike.
Way way back there was a man selling, or trying to sell a "manzeer" to keep the moobs under control and lessen the stress effects on the drivelines of minibikes but it never really worked and faded away.
