Coming in with a LATE entry, I am here with my soon to be truck.

The frame is of an old lawn tractor and so are the tires engine and trans.

What I plan to do
-Put the trans, Engine and Tires back on the frame
-Have about 2 inches of angle iron sticking out on each side
-Create a Mini - Bed
- Have a Mini enclosed cab :)

HOPE to be finished by

July 3rd. (Would love to ride this thing in the forth of July parade.)

Tools -
-35 piece ratchet set
-3 screwdrivers
-Metal file
-saw
-What ever my friends want to let me borrow.

Nice! If it was me is suggest extending the frame or moving the axle back so a cab and bed look more proportional. The hydro should be good for slow speeds, if you want to go faster, get a geared transaxle, 5-6 speed peerless.

I am not looking for fast speeds. I am only 15 and I have a life ahead of me. I was thinking about extending the frame and making it a bit longer and wider. Will figure it out later today.

No idea if this would work so I am going to ask you guys.

Would it be possible to change out the pulley coming out of the engine for a sprocket and do the same on the trans? That way Instead of putting pulleys on the engine I would have a chain running to the trans. Ideas? Thoughts? Comments?

There is also an idle pulley that acts like a clutch so going sprockets and chain won't work unless you can figure out how to add a clutch system.

Spent a few hours in the garage yesterday And about 2 hours out there today, I have a rolling chassis now! It also steers. I was at Menards the other day and Saw some tires and Thought about picking up 4 of these http://www.menards.com/main/p-2315216-c-10126.htm or Looking at a go kart supplier website and look into buying tires.
