Greetings group I'm hosting on a fresh idea I'm sure I'm overlooking something stupidly simple. It keeps stalling after reaching operating temperature not overheating. I will stay running if I turn the idle up but at that rpm it very hard to shift in and out of gear. Any input would be very appreciated and thanks in advance.

Can you show us what you got with a photo or a link? Is it a go kart or a UTV?

“TW200” is a Yamaha motorcycle, at least according to a quick and dirty web search.

The
Possible gas tank vent clogged.

Possible ignition coil/cdi gone bad.

Let see some pics. It helps to see the condition of things and we can possibly id the engine for further diagnosis.

These china buggies are notorious for bad wiring.
Only thing I not replaced in the rebuild was the cdi only because I get the wrong one every time I order new

Q#1: Does the choke/ enricher work properly?
Q#2: When it dies, does it pop, sputter, smoke...or just stop? Have you checked for spark after death?

Edited to add: It is indeed a Trail Wagon 200 aka 200 SERIES LUTV and has had several, mainly cosmetic, revisions or names over the years. Might be private labeled for Tractor Supply, etc.

Hope the skull emblazoned on the front is not a harbinger of death (or injury). Any kind of rollover and your body might flop forward and get impaled on those spikes. 😳

I like Ken, he takes risks. Memento Mori. :kewlsmiley::sarcasm::roflol:

In other news, these UTVs seem to be good quality and well liked. I rather like the mini truck styling. Some are too "space ship plasticky"

Does sound like fuel starvation. If the fuel system (faulty fuel pump, clogged but not entirely blocked fuel filter, etc) doesn’t push enough juice to keep going, it will run a while til it has exhausted the fuel that has trickled into the fuel lines and finally quits after it empties the fuel bowl. This can take a while.

Fuel starvation may be a thing, but if it makes black smoke and dies when it warms up...me thinks choke or fouled plug problem. Need more clues.

Putt, putt, putt, gasp...dead
