2 Grandkids in 5 months

In case some of you missed it, I became a grandfather in January. My sons daughter was born 10 weeks premature but is now doing great.

Well, at 12:37am today (Thursday June 13th) local time, my daughter gave birth to a 7lb 13oz baby boy, 3.5 weeks premature (he's almost as big as his 5 month old cousin).

She suffered with Gestational Diabetes so, bub was growing too fast so, after spending a week & a half in hospital, she was induced yesterday.

At first, Jakobi wasn't breathing so he was whisked off to the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) but, this morning, Mum & bub are both doing fine.

Oh, I've already sorted that: By the time they're old enough, the little princess will have outgrown her kart & I will rejuvenate hers for them

Glad you have nothing but good news!!!

But I have to ask;

So you have two children with children of their own, and yet another that's still a couple of years away from leaving the nest?!? it makes an older single guy like me wonder if I missed something somewhere (was I supposed to have kids out of wedlock? All the couples around me who did seem to be on Springer's show now.....)

I don't want to offend by making claims/assumptions that aren't true; it's just that (if you believe the MSM), here in the States we've got another sign of the approaching apocalypse on our hands with all the teen aged mothers/ mothers to be......

OK, let me explain: I was 20 when my son was born (he is now 22) & we (his mother & I) were married a month later. 2.5 years later, my elder daughter was born(she's now 20 but, yes, unmarried & now single); we divorced 2 years later...

A few years later, I began a relationship with the little princess' mother who, at the time, had a 3year old son who I helped raise. After 5 years together (I was then in my early 30s) we decided to have a baby (the little princess) but, alas, we are no longer together but are best friends...

All caught up now?

Congratulations Tony! My daughter (not my real biological daughter) was also born a month premature. She was as big as your hand. I didn't know her mom then but I have seen pics.

I didn't mean to imply anything wrong on your part; it's just that when you talk about how you're a grandfather twice over, an your youngest is almost to the point where you have to remember where you put the bear traps into storage, well, it didn't just fall into cohesive shape without the details....

Hmmm... Oz doesn't have bears.... so what do you use to keep the potential suitors away down under? Trained killer kangaroo's? Black Op trained koalas? I'm guessing that sitting at the table, dressed like Rambo while cleaning a 22 cal. rifle, boasting about the time you took out a squirrel at 1500 yards probably is out as well......

Luckily, that was divided between 3 households. The twins and the youngest girl were to the same parents, though. 3 girls in 11 months (I'm actually pet sitting for them this week, relaxing in their house as I'm typing this, and one of the twins cats decided he'd plop in my lap (see attatched ))

That's just ridiculous. At least my coworker and his wife have been together since they were 14, and seem to have a better marriage than 90% of couples.
