1st race go cart questions vintage Raptor 5 hp

I have a cart in the process of rebuilding.
Many questions about the Brigs & Stratton engine.
Model 133230
Type 8004 01
Code 960720YB
Brigs & Stratton 5 hp Raptor Flathead.
Technical info settings: Coil air gaps?
carb. Adjustments. Ets…
I was told fuel used is Alcohol? I have been Using E85.
Is this. Raptor a 1,2 or 3?
What is the alcohol fuel used and where to get it
Is this a Pulsa-Jet Carb? Anything else I should know?
I would like to add larger tires, wheels to raise the clearance from Apx. 1.5” to 4 or more. To use on un even turf and or gravel . Now Using 3 bolt rear 11x 7.1 -5 and
Front using the smaller 10”.
Any other lift options? In saying all of this can I install 13” rear and or taller front’s?
Where can these larger tires be purchased?
I appreciate any and all info to make this 1st project go well so I can sell this and start a new larger size project. Treat any comments to me as if I know nothing!!!

No reason you can't put larger, and probably more geared towards off road use tires on it. It's going to change your gear ratio a bunch, and if you go to more than 13 or 14" tall you will burn up the centrifugal clutch real quick like.
Most off road karts run 18" tall rear tires, a 30 series torque converter, and a
1 to 6 drive ratio. 10 tooth drive sprocket and a 60 tooth axle sprocket. In all honesty, the kart that you have acquired is NOT a good candidate for off road use. It is designed for competition on a smooth level track of dirt or asphalt.
If your intended usage is even somewhat off road and any hills or uneven surfaces you would be much happier with something more like described above. Lots of go kart supply shops out there. Two that I have traded with for close to 4 years and have been treated fairly by are Go Power Sports in Texas, and OMB Warehouse in Pennsylvania. They both stock any part of a go kart you could possibly need and have good shipping. Several others out there, I 'm just posting the ones I have used.
