1982 honda express II mini chopper? bike?

i acquired an 82 honda scooter frame from our annual city wide cleanup (its like christmas for me) my dad told me it was useless and that it should be thrown out, now honestly if he wouldnt have said that i wouldnt have been so motivated to make something out of it. i saw these three pocket bike rides on a thread http://www.diygokarts.com/vb/showthread.php?t=4256 and i just love the design of the third and final bike so much i wanted to make one myself and i remembered my ol scooter frame. but like any build where you try to copy something you make changes and adapt to what you have on hand and it ends up totally different. you probably will laugh seeing the difference between mine and the one that inspired me but o well.

below are pictures of my main parts and the best way i have found to lay them out. what i would like to change is the angle of my front forks so that it is more like a chopper style but i would still like to keep the back bone pretty much level to the ground.

i forgot to mention my engine is aprox a three hp tec and i will be running a centr clutch. for a seat i plan on using an old tractor seat and for wheels i have a spare trailer tire and a scooter tire in the front which i will later replace.

give me your ideas as i am stumped at the moment what to do next, the main task is to fab up a hub with sprocket please give me your opinions as i would like to make this at least somewhat resemble the one that inspired me

I was also inspired by iRenaat's Third bike and am going to try to build something similar.

On your design here, I think that in order to make it look similar you would need to change the angle of the neck to the rest of the frame, like you already suggested. On that wheel you might have a hard time as it is a wheel made for a 4 wheeled vehicle so the mount for the wheel is off to one side. Aka the center of the tire is deeper on one side. Is this true its hard to tell by the photo. Additionly if you read through the thread you linked here you can see his building process photos. He bases his build around where he wants his engine. Does that make sense. The hardest part is getting the engine, which weights the most out of the bike in a spot where it will be fun to ride. Your bike is going to be very much wider, with your engine and the wide tire. Also it's going to be taller than his bike is. As far as the whole frame I am not sure the single tube is going to be strong enough to hold it together. In his bike he has a stout tube that is reinforced everywhere. Anyhow I would start with the engine.

i think you will need a bigger sprocket than the one in the pic... or run a jackshaft setup to de-gear it.

a bigger sprocket would be a better option for me as i want this to be very simple, the engine im using must be mounted on the side with the shaft in its four threaded holes so i will have to have a plate welded on the back bone that drops down to the engine. im not exactly sure how far back on the frame i want to go but at the moment im thinking up in the corner real close to the rear tire. it will reduce the length of the chain and keep it away from my leg

also, i may be getting a tire and wheel off of an old super bronc, it would make life easier because it has hub and sprocket already together and it may even have a 72 tooth sprocket. anyone know how many teeth they have?
