Take some time to cruise the posts in this forum. You will learn a lot, and 99% of performance tips apply to ALL engines, so you don't necessarily need specific info for yours. Most of us ar perfectly willing to help, but we tend to have more respect for a person that does a little homework, and therefore can be a little more specific with questions, such as, "I'd like to remove my governor and maybe upgrade my carb. Which should I do first?"
Cheers- Chris

PS- The occasionall smart@ss answer comes with the turf. Brace yourself.

yea do homework theres a lot of questions here answered in the stickeys or something that are just...... as long as you don't post questions like how do i remove my gov then when someone tells you how you ask "wheres the block"? i almost cried reading stuff like that, lol. good luck with your engine though tons of info on the web, main things are gov, flywheel, carb jets, air filter, header. then you get into more stuff like compression, bigger bore cylinders you know stuff that basically makes the engine a completely different engine

To advance the ignition timing buy/make an offset flywheel key, this will advance the magnets position, thus advancing the timing. I wouldn't do more than a few degrees, listen carefully for knock. AFAIK These dont really have a curve so to speak, it just jumps form very little to full advance when it starts. Advancing the cam timing is pretty much impossible unless you go a whole tooth(probably too much), watch piston-valve clearance if you try this.
