it's snorkled, you have to seal up the belt drive too. you have to dielectric grease all the electrical too. oh and the gas tank vent needs to be brought above the water level. oh and the diff vents. and a lot of stuff, but it sure is fun!

    Matching Paint to HF 6.5

most good hardware stores will colour match. bring the tank in or whatever you can take off thats the colour you want. go to the paint counter and have them colour match it. the downside is that you have to get house paint, but I'd think if you prep'd the frame properly and got a good quality...

I want to mount brakes on the rear axle

you guys are starting to scare me a bit. when I get back out in the garage I'll have a good look and reconsider. I never thought about the chain twisting. I guess thats the nice thing about these forums. whats dangerous about the articulating pillow block? will they come apart? I was kind of...

I want to mount brakes on the rear axle

the drive sprocket is already aligned with the front pivot point of the suspension. I'm only planning on 3 or 4 inches of suspension travel at max so dog tracking shouldn't be an issue, especially because it's very narrow and I'll be leaning. that and the rear suspension will understeer which...

I want to mount brakes on the rear axle

so I want to mount brakes on the rear axle. I'm running a 3 link semi independant type system. I was going to mount the brake caliper on the piece I'm mounting the pillow block on but that wont work because the pillow block articulates. I was then thinking about putting the rear axle in a tube...

mounting the enine to the frame

well origonally I was going to go with a band brake on the clutch and wanted it tight. I picked up a pocket bike cheap that'd I've been robbing. I figure both the rotors on the rear axle should be just as good as a band brake and I'm not depending on the chain that way. I am making 2 pieces...

mounting the enine to the frame

nope not confused at all, I already welded the bolt there too, I guess I could cut it up... do you think 1 inch will be enough adjustment? how much do these chains stretch, its either a 40 or 41. I'll try and get a pic up but it's not really welded up yet, I'll have to maybe draw in some arrows...

mounting the enine to the frame

so I'm wondering what people are using between their engine and frame. I want to put a piece of rubber in there to take up a bit of the vibration. I don't want to go too thick though for obvious reasons. My other question is hard to explain. I'm making a bracket that the engine will mount on...

Is using a 26" mountain bike wheel a bad idea on the front of a minibike?

that might add to the reclined feel I'm trying to give it, I'm going to put some good foot pegs too so that should help prevent it.
