OMG well spotted 🧐 i didn't make that connection myself. Some quick and rough calculations later - motor rpm should be around 5500 pushing this kart. That's only 1000 above no load speed so I don't expect the rotor to fly apart. I'm definitely keen to see temperatures after a good run though

I was a bit surprised the kart still worked fine. The controller is fully potted, which i didn't know until this incident. The battery manufacturer recommended i open the lid and check for any water ingress. There was like 2 drips that I could see. I REALLY don't want to open the motor...

QS138 is the popular choice that most people have but they are mostly in single seater karts. I think the motor 'can' handle a two seater, depending on how you drive. From memory some people have pushed the motor up to 25kw output. But if you're driving it hard like that it will likely...

Okay i finally got a short bit of video. I was trying to commute away from the bikes when the fuel pump stopped... again... I'll need to check the wiring to see if the fuel pump is protected by a voltage regulator. Otherwise i can't explain why they've been breaking...
