HI, Denny. The issue is the key is too small. The width and length are right, but the integrated key machined into the bore of the clutch is too shallow to reach to reach the bottom of the keyway in the crank.

I'm having a similar issue. Trying to find a drive clutch that has the correct size key! All the clutches I can find have an machined key that is too shallow for the 1/8" keyway on the GX390 shaft.

I'm also having an issue with with torque converters on the GX390. Every 40 series drive clutch i can find has a built in key that is only about 1/16" deep. The keyway on the motor is 1/8". So, there's slop in the keyway that will eventually cause damage. Can anyone recommend a clutch that has...
