    I looked at that motor and figured there wouldn't be enough power to push my tank of a kart. If I were to go with either of those motors what would I need do in terms of a drive train? I want to remove the 2:1 and I like the idea of a torque converter, but it just seems like too much $$

    And some durafix thrown in there too? But seriously, what options do I have for motors? Do all 8 horses use the same bolt pattern/case design? I've seen numerous engines and they all look like the same design.

    Pics: (sorry about the bad quality, old beater camera) The crankshaft can't be reused, it got scored from the bearing (which actually fused to the piston)
