It is difficult to get adjusted

First test run today. Need to adjust the brakes and the insulation on the exhaust is smoking. The short wheelbase is a little twitchy at speed but overall- I like it

I am so tempted to fire this puppy up and go for a spin but I still have to do all the wiring- kill button, starter, fuse block, rectifier, usb ports and battery.

I think I spend more time schemin and dreamin than doin.

Thank you for taking the time to make those excellent recommendations. As of yesterday I have removed 10” sections from the frame and rejoined the front and rear assemblies. Final fitting today. My welder, flashmask and gloves arrived yesterday. I’ll do some practice welds on the scrap pieces...

Thanks for the reply. I have purchased a murray and will be cutting 11" out of the length and will be posting pictures when complete.

What is a "standard length" wheelbase to stretch the body to?

I am building a VW beetle bodied go kart and the body has a 46" wheelbase. Does anyone know of a kart with a 46" wheelbase?
