Took the exhaust off and tried starting it a few times and it did something a little different but caused a little fire as well.

Thank you ! I'll try this and see what happens ! I got a new spark plug that wasn't the issue. I hope it's not the motor.

So I bought the kart it ran for a little then I was told they put marine two stroke oil in it and shortly after riding it , it wouldn't start. I put the proper mix in and now it seems it doesn't want to start what's my next step? It's a yz125cc 2 stroke shifter kart.
