What size tubes for 10.5" tires?

Hey Itsid, Take a look at the pic of my tire (tyre). I tried another tube that is 13x6 and it also failed. There are no sharp edges and the tube valve fits easily in the hole. I will have to try and find a better tube size online I guess. Not sure where I would get them though. I can't seem to...

What size tubes for 10.5" tires?

Hello! So I've been running my trike and all was well until my tire went flat and the sleeve started to fall off. My tire is 10.5 x 6 but the closest inner tube size I could get is a 13 x 6 It seemed to work but somehow the valve must be compromised as it started to leak at the bottom part of...

Drift Trike - Brakes and Throttle Designation

Custom Brake So I bought a 1" sleeve to go on to my axle. Then I used a 5" hole saw to cut a disc out of some scrap metal plating (maybe 3/16"). Then I used another hole saw to cut the middle out. I drilled 6 holes into that which lined up to the brake rotor. After I welded it together... I...

Drift Trike - Brakes and Throttle Designation

The frame is finally ready for paint... Some shots of the frame. I went with 1/16" tubing. I added gussets to the edges and some re-enforcing where I thought it needed it. The frame weighs 34 lbs.

Drift Trike - Brakes and Throttle Designation

Thanks Brionator! I'll consider that but there's something about the feel of a foot throttle that says, "I'm racing"! A thumb throttle doesn't have the same "feel" although quads are a lot of fun. ---------- Post added at 11:10 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:01 PM ---------- Thanks...

Drift Trike - Brakes and Throttle Designation

I am setting up my trike to have front and rear brakes on the handle bars and a throttle on the foot. My reason is because it's nice to have throttle separate from the braking hand. Especially for drifting. But if anyone has a drift trike I'd love to see what setup you have and the pro's and...

    WunTon's drift trike build

Hey Wunton, I'm just trying to figuring out the designation of my throttle and brakes. You mentioned a thumb throttle for ease when your'e in a drift. Makes sense. Would a foot throttle be ideal, with the brakes on the left and right handle bar? I know you have pedals so that wouldn't make sense...

    Drift Trike: Project One

Well I have an extra one now. $75 CAD + shipping to wherever you live. But you'll have to add your own disc brake to it. I'm going to a bike shop later today to see what it costs for that.

    Drift Trike: Project One

Fat Bike Tire and Metal Head Tube Update... I was looking for a fat tire for the drift trike. They are pretty expensive but then I found a whole bike on Craigslist for $125 CAD. I removed the front tire at the stem. The whole bike is aluminum and that surpasses my welding ability so I bought...

    Drift Trike: Project One

No, its not a fund raiser, I was forced to buy the frame for the motor I wanted. So while I'm waiting on axle parts I decided to restore the kart frame. If it doesn't sell I'll put an engine in it too. :-) ---------- Post added at 03:34 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:33 PM ----------...

    Drift Trike: Project One

Price I paid $450 for everything. The restored frame is posted for $550. I've had a few people interested but no one with cash yet. If I can't sell it for $450 I'll put an engine in it and sell it as complete. It just needs some new bearings in the rear but it should be an easy fix...

    Drift Trike: Project One

Fixed up the old frame to sell... I stripped it and sandblasted the frame. Some paint. It was was the only metallic color I could get on short notice but it turned out good. New floor pan. I used some checker plate I had kicking around but it could end up being too reflective. Cleaned...

    Drift Trike: Project One

Hello Fellow Motorhead's! I've been wanting to start a Drift Trike for awhile now. So with all my free time these days I decided to go for it. First step. Find an engine. I found one on Craigslist but the guy wanted to sell it with a Kart frame. I said yes because the engine was a fairly new...

Hello! My name is Rico and I like to party!

Hello! Thanks for having me! I love this forum, its been pretty helpful with a lot of the questions I've had already. My plan is to build a Drift Kart so we'll see how it goes. I'll figure out how to stop my photos from rotating and I'll start my photo journal in a fresh post. Cheers!

Drift Kart - Tire Sizes to fit inside 10" PVC

Thank you WunTon!! I've been hesitating to order in case I get the wrong parts. I'm going to make a YouTube video later to help other people because I've been searching everywhere. I even sent e-mails to suppliers but I don't think they really know anything about drift trikes and sleeves. Thanks...

Drift Kart - Tire Sizes to fit inside 10" PVC

Hello everyone! I'm building a drift trike and I'm ready to order my axle parts but I'm having difficulty finding the right answers for tire/wheel sizes. I want to use the white or green 10" PVC pipe that can be easily bought at hardware stores. My question... What tire/wheel(rim) size combo...
