    clutch engagement

So, who makes a good 5/8” 35t clutch? Saw this one says for 79cc, guessing a 5hp is bigger. https://www.ebay.com/itm/174237781580 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    clutch engagement

My 5hp Tecumseh came with a clutch already on it. When I start it the clutch engages straight away. If I start while on a stand the wheel will turn, if I start on the ground it will start rolling. And if I start and jump on, it will die.

Next item on the list, throttle cable. Here is where the cable mounts to the motor. And where it attaches to the rod on the pedal. I know I need the Z shaped link on the pedal end, but what do I need on the motor? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk ---------- Post added at 04:36 PM...

    Tecumseh motor

I purchased a Tecumseh HS50-67167D off of my neighbor. I can't find any parts for that particular model anywhere. Are there interchangeable parts between the HS50 motors, in particular the carb?

Thanks JT, I am totally new to this and know just enough to get into trouble. The frame came with a rod and brake band. I just have no idea how it was attached.

Here is the motor mounted and the space I have. Would a band brake on the clutch be a better route? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I noticed on the stock PDF I found on BMI that the stock chain setup is a 10T clutch sprocket and a 60t on the wheel side. My clutch has an 11T, if i plan to keep the stock tire size what sprocket should I go with? ---------- Post added at 09:20 AM ---------- Previous post was at 09:17 AM...

OK, I need to know what type of chain I need to get. The clutch has an 11t sprocket on it. My neighbor (wheel supplier) has a chain that fits it, but we can't figure out what type, number it is. links are 3/8" center to center.

If I end up going with the stock 4.1x3.5-5, what size wheels would those take?

My neighbor picked up some wheels at auction. Now to just figure out how to adapt them.

Alright, been doing some sanding and painting of parts and figuring out the motor. It has an 11T sprocket on the clutch and is a #10 chain. What would be a good wheel sprocket for it? Will mainly be me taking the kids around until they feel comfortable driving and stopping themselves.
