I actually managed to dig up a bolt that fit the hole perfectly. Just like changer recommended I recycled the stock I ring and called t off from the outside with an appropriate nut. Works great! My initial plan was to tap the hole and seal it with a homemade gasket on the outside.

Hey guys, Just thought I'd ask, can anybody recommend a specific tap to use on the hole from where the oil sensor was? It's on a predator 212 hemi and it's around 0.4in. in diameter. Would 7/16 x 14 be ok? 7/16 x 20? My gut says 7/16 x 20 but I know that they are much harder to find in the...

Yeah I bashed around it with a cold chisel/ screwdriver head and twisted it into a mess with a pair of locking pliers.
