Father and son build, need help

Yeah, mines brand new. I thought maybe I could get away with it. Now I have another problem. After I got everything put back together one of my pistons in my caliper quit working and I can't get it loosened up. So now I have no brakes and don't know even what the braking system is from to go...

Hey guys, havn't forgot about ya'll just been busy. I got some more goodies in and have made more progress. I am considering removing the governor in the motor but I don't want to open it up and have to replace gaskets and such. Will that be the case? I also have to figure out this whole gas...

It doesn't rub into the rim or the side of the bearing?

Father and son build, need help

Hey guys, long story short the machinist has "misplaced" my axle and I am tired of waiting for a solution so I'm just going to buy a new one. I am wonder what keeps this rim from continuing to slide down the axle when you tighten the axle nut? Do I need to purchase something additional...

Yep. No problems there. Instructions show to cut the oil sensor wire. Not sure why, you can just unplug it about 2 inches away from where they show to cut it.

I could just cut it off and drill a hole thru the threads of a bolt and tighten the nut down on it. That would probably be the easiest way.

I'll find a way to mount the pedal that will work for me. Right now I'm trying to figure out how this goes together.

I ordered a gas pedal thru bmi karts. Is it not? Maybe that why I'm having trouble seeing how it's suppose to fit.

Father and son build, need help

I haven't found much searching and with my kart not being a traditional build I'm finding it rather challenging to find exactly what I need. I'm hoping someone can look at these pics and help me brainstorm an idea on how to set this up. My other thought was to maybe have a different type of way...

Hey guys, so I'm still waiting on my axle to come back from the machinist, so while I'm waiting I'm starting to look into the gas pedal set up. And I'm clueless... I dot have a clue what I need or how I'm going to set this up. This is what I have. What am I missing?

Where the bearings are it is 1". Then it goes down to 3/4" on the side that has the free rolling wheel. ---------- Post added at 06:08 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:06 PM ---------- The pin locator I assume is the little nipple on the outside of the bearing? It won't be in the way of...

Hey chancer, now that I've got this whole axle apart I'm thinking about just buying a new one with all new parts. To get the sprocket hub, caliper hub, and both rims that you posted, all I would need to get going would be 4 keys, 2 rims, and new bearings correct? Then I'd be posi with all new...

How do you get the bearings off the axle? My machinist can't cut the keyway unless everything on the axle is stripped.

This is what it's doing on a test piece, I don't get it, I never had a problem running a nice bead back when I was taught.

Father and son build, need help

Well this is embarrassing. Let me start off by saying I had a 2 day class on how to weld when I was 17. Fast forward 12 years and I haven't touched one again until now but I still don't think it's totally me. So I borrowed my buddies welder and for the life of me I cannot get it to drop a...

Clamp on hub? The one I bought is 1 piece, I was wondering how I was gonna get it slid on. This is what I got. Do I need to buy something else? Do they have split hubs? https://www.gopowersports.com/1-sprocket-carrier/ ---------- Post added at 03:20 AM ---------- Previous post was at 03:17 AM...
