Yeah I saw that, little leary about an engine from ebay. There has to be a reason its that cheap. when the Lifan is a known good engine with a 3year warranty backed at any home depot.

Also are these horizontal shaft engines pretty much plug and play? I see home depot has a 15hp lifan(honda clone) for $329. As long as they have a 1" shaft I can use whatever right?

I can do that when i get home. Its a big driver pulley attached to the end of he crank with a belt attached to another pulley at the transaxle. Do they go bad?

Excuse my ignorance (no idea how the drive train on these function) but can I not use the pulleys that I have currently? What does a 40 series torque converter involve?
