Hey guys< i did clean the top portion of the converter. That did make a difference. But it still wont sit at idle. The bottom portion (spring mechanism) always stays shut. how do i "clean" that?

Hey guys. I had recently working on "restoring" and old go kart with a comet drive. I am having problems with it. When i go and start the engine, the converter half engages. should it not move my axle at all or should it do this. I need advice on how to fix this. what i want is it to not engage...
