thanks iRenaa, 50 sounds good! I will have a look at options for improving or changing the carb. Also, I think you can buy new cylinder heads and pisotons to take it up to 70cc, as this is a moped and there is quite a market selling moped modification parts.

Be sure to take money into account.. things can start to get pricey if you just plow into a project..!

have you tried using a clutch with just 2 pads, they're more responsive than the 3 pad designs. also, weaker springs will reduce the rpm needed to grip the clutch bell.

hi , i'm building an off road type kart and are looking for an engine. I've been offered a honda C50 (49cc) 3 speed semi-auto engine. my kart is quite large (220 X 80cm), its also quite heavy. i'm planning to run 14inch car wheels on the back . Do you guys think it will be powerful enough?
