no i did not use the feeler gauge...would that be the reason why the string is stuck...how would i get it free?

if i pull slowly it still stays stuck it was fine this morning i tried starting it after i adjusted the rockers and it was fine after a few pulls then it became jammed

ok so i been trying to get this go kart started for about 3 weeks now a few weeks ago it would start then eventually sputter out now it wont start and as of today the string is stuck and i cant even pull it the whole way....i already cleaned the carb and bought a rebuild kit also adjusted the...

why would the rocker keep the engine from turning/"?

ok thanks would this be the reason that it doesent start?...also i have a question regarding a part number where would i find the one for the main jet valve thats under the bowl mine is kind of stripped

ok thanks for advice on rockers...one of them seems fine with no play in it and the other seems almost loose ..how would i adjust them??

the springs arent loose whats loose is one of the small bracket looking things positioned on top of the spring

ok so i remived the valve cover today and the springs seem to both be pretty stiff but as for the metal pieces on top of each sprig one is loose compared to the other side heres a pic..

so i would have to get the valves rebuild is there a kit for that?... or can they be fixed:huh:

what should i try next???...can it be the valves causing trouble and not allowing it to start

i havent messed with the engine at all as far as i know...i might definetly need new gaskets tho they are kind of craking already but would the gaskets keep it from staring or even cranking..?

yes i tried putting a teaspoon of gas in the spark plug hole already and still no start...how do i check the valves?

yes i do have spark...so what might be it

ok i re installed the needle and seat to its correct position and it stopped leaking gas from there but the engine still wont start....can it possibly be a kill switch problem,,,,when i pull the string it just shoots little gas out the carb but no start>>??:huh:

ok thanks for the advice i will try to refit the needle and seat tommorow in hope that it will start....i see the edit button now:oops: what way should the needle be pointing

what happens if i put carb back with out the needle and seat? im am understanding it a bit more now...and im hoping if i just put the needle and seat pack to its original place the leaking will stop

ok so that can be the problem?...so if the float is not floating correctly the gas would be leaking out correct?
