    i've been looking at a kenworth gokart semi truck, its 200kg, has a 3.5hp engine and can do 20mph so is 10hp gonna manage 500kg?

    Thats a good idea :) roughly what wall thickness would that be?

    Would used scaffolding tube be ok? Its 48mm diameter and 4mm wall thickness. Downside the stuff is 1.34kg a foot and the frame needs about 30ft of the stuff... So that is already up to 40kg

    I have been thinking, on a go kart would you be able to have a combination of a live rear axle but with the wheels pinned on like a traction engine as when you pull the pin out of one wheel it allows it to rotate freely on corners so the axle becomes one wheel drive.

    I was on vacation in Florida the other week and have taken a liking to the Disney Transport buses. Does anyone know if you would be able to create a go kart bus? Also I have a spare Briggs and Stratton 10hp engine, would this be of any use?
