Once you sit in it, the suspension settles and it drops down into range. But I left my shock mounts tacked in place because I'm still a bit concerned about this as well. I may drop it down a bit more.

I know this thread is likely dead, but I just ran across it. It started out highly informative. I certainly appreciate quality construction, but I tend to think Bill's frustration lies in the fact that we are building go karts and not space shuttles.

Yeah, they are trailer wheels from HF. I got a great deal on them. I figured I need to build a trailer anyhow, so if they work out OK, then cool. Otherwise, I'll use them for my trailer :-)

Hey Regul8R, Is that the jackshaft kit from BMI Kart, or did you manufacture your own? Also, do you recall what belt you ended up getting? Thanks a bunch for posting these pics. I've no experience working with a TC and this clarified a lot.
