I read somewhere that you can not do this and just connect directly the throttle directly to the carb. is that correct? Which is better. I have 2 B and S 316212's and want a little more speed out of them.

I have 2 of these. I got one running but am curious wether it is worth getting the other running vs buying a predator 212cc from HF for $120. It needs a head gasket, bolts, blower housing and rewind, and air cleaner of what I know.

Does anyone know the shaft length and diameter of this engine?
