It is a sort of combustion passage on the head that you make from the intake valve to the cylinder to better increase the flow I guess. I saw in on here some where but I have been unable to find it again.

Sweet less money that I have to spend. Now if I mill the head down (to remove the need to use a gasket), will it become a factor then? Again I am still using my limited knowledge of these engines, I am used to bigger V-8 engines so it is just a bit diffrent.

if you look at this picture you can see the crack in the bottom center of the picture. It is a little blurry but even still you can see it. it is right where the bolt goes for the head.
