this is the gas pedal, on my kart, will that work ok using the spring of the throttle on the engine or does this pedal need a spring also thanks Dave

i have a homelite 179 cc i would like to put in frame i have to get it up and running. i got the motor running today but there is no throttle lever. anyone got an idea on how to convert this over so that i have a place to hook up a cable thanks for any help Dave
