Can a predator 212 be fitted with a alternater from a similar engine? I want to run led lights on my new project and I'd like to have constant power instead of just using a battery alone.

I picked up a new project today cheap. I couldn't pass it up. I can't find any model on the kart, but after researching different pictures and manuals I'm pretty sure the kart is a carter model 2535. Here are some pictures. It needs work. I need a belt, chain and a jack shaft sprocket.
